New Medicine Service (NMS)

Free support from our pharmacist when you start a new long-term medication.

What Is the New Medicine Service?

The NHS New Medicine Service (NMS) is a free service that helps you get the most out of a newly prescribed medicine. Starting a new medication can raise questions and concerns — our pharmacist is here to support you through the first few weeks.

The service involves two consultations with our pharmacist: one shortly after you start your new medicine, and a follow-up consultation a few weeks later.
